New Router? Give your Wi-Fi a new Name

Are you upgrading your home Wi-Fi router? State employees can add an additional layer of protection for their virtual workstations, and their home smart devices, by changing the Wi-Fi router default name and password.

Updating your Wi-Fi connected devices is the best way to protect your virtual work network, and friends and family who visit and connect to your internet.

ACTION STEPS

Consult your internet service provider’s online instructions and assign a new name and password that is long (16+ characters) and unique (not used on other accounts).
