Increased malicious cyber activity
As malicious cyber activity continues to increase globally, departments must pay close attention to security preparedness.
- Patch and update all networks, websites, browsers, applications, and mobile devices across your organization and monitor for irregular activity.
- Review your Incident Response, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity Plans.
- Identify your incident response teams and ensure that you have an offline communications process such as cell phones in the event your network or the internet are unavailable.
- Review critical tasks and formulate your backup plan for high priority tasks.
- Remind employees to not open links or attachments in emails or texts without validation.
- Ensure that all vendors holding your data are employing rigorous controls and secure connections to the Internet.
