Don’t let your guard down around the holidays
Scams increase this time of year when they know employees are taking time off and staff may be distracted.
Current scams include emails to change direct deposit information, redeem counterfeit shopping coupons, shipping tracking texts with malicious links, spoofed shopping page links, mystery packages you did not order, surveys that promise a gift, phony gift cards and fake QR codes. Fraudsters are looking to infect your devices and steal your personal information, or credit card and banking credentials.
Action Steps
- Remind your staff to stay on alert for suspicious communications and Pause before opening suspicious links or attachments
- Prep your staff with our two-minute video series Before you Connect, Protect with Pause Verify and Report to protect employees at home and at work.
