Act now to protect against cyber attacks part three
The White House has issued a Fact Sheet that outlines several ways to protect your organization against cyber attacks:
- Change passwords on all networks so that previously stolen credentials are useless.
- Train staff to recognize tactics commonly used by attackers, and report to IT staff any unusual computer behavior such as crashing or slow operation.
- Designate a crisis-response team for any suspected cybersecurity incident. Establish roles and responsibilities with main points of contact within the organization for technology, communications, legal, and business continuity.
- Conduct a simulation exercise for your emergency plans.
