Malvertising – Another Reason Not to Click on Ads
Malvertising is a malicious attack that involves injecting harmful code into legitimate online advertising networks. When an unsuspecting user clicks on the picture or link, a file is downloaded and can take over the user’s computer and data The new types of tools used are difficult to detect with normal security scans.
ACTION STEPS:
- Do not click on ads, pictures or other links while on the web, especially when using work equipment.
- Always go to the official website when seeking more information. Credible ads, deals and information are posted on the official website, or available if you have an account.
