Have you changed your passwords lately?
One of the best protections against cybercrime is frequent password updates. Criminals are using artificial intelligence (AI) to detect weak, reused or similar passwords to break into other applications, including your work network and your personal accounts.
Action Steps:
- Set up a regular schedule to update your passwords for all applications every few months. Plan to update a few passwords each month and it will be less burdensome and make you much more secure.
- Use unique passwords that are not the same, or partially the same, as previous passwords, or passwords you use for other applications (banking, social media, streaming).
- Use long, complex words or phrases with a mix of upper and lowercase letters, symbols and numbers that make it harder for AI to guess.
